Visas Marr

Visas has been born on the planet Katarr. Her species, the Miraluka are blind. They are a race that lack of the physical eyesight but possess the ability to see through the Force. (This ability is called Force Sight - with a high influence, Visas will teach you for her Force Sight ability, which is a technique that allows you to see through doors, and you'll see the alignments of people you see. This gives you 500 XP and a 10 points bonus to your Maximum Force Points, too.)

She is the only survivor of its destruction when it was drained of the Force by her master, Darth Nihilus when he learned a secret Jedi meeting assembled on the planet. Visas was feeling echoes in the Force, silent screams of the innocent, seeing all life dying around her which became worse than she would have died, too. She was feeling drained, broken, and miserable, having lost everything she was bound to - the Force. It was incredibly painful for Visas, and still she survived it somehow. And then, walking through the ashes of Katarr to search for other survivors, she met somebody else, Darth Nihilus himself!

The Sith Lord wanted to tempt her. He made the blind, and confused girl see the Galaxy as a whole Dark System, and having experienced it, she wished to die. The galaxy, stripped of the Force was said to be a lifeless pile of flesh and rock, what was touched by the living beings, which infected the life, as a disease, as a plague. Nihilus explained to Visas that all life must be exterminated, to get rid of that disease, which is the only way to clear the Universe.

This conception, this dark vision severely damaged her Force Sight which she, as a Miraluka, had to solely rely on, having no physical sight. She couldn't make sure of the opposite of what Nihilus said, he gave her a new "sight" via his dark mind. Because she was valuable as a Force-sensitive, she was taken by Nihilus as a servant, and when he made sure of her Force-sensitiveness, Darth Nihilus made Visas his Sith Apprentice!

Some years later, Visas, as well as Nihilus, felt a disturbance in the Force caused by the Jedi Exile who created some kind of echoes. Nihilus was unaware that the Exile was its source, as it did not feel like originating from a living being. Visas knew that was the Exile Jedi, but did not tell it to Nihilus. So after a little usual "fare-well choking" Nihilus sent Visas to trace the unusual disturbance, and to annihilate its source.

Visas soon found, and infiltrated the Ebon Hawk during the Exile was on mission, and was in the Starboard Dormitory facing the wall when the Exile returned. Exile asked who was she, and what was she doing there, but no answer received, but Visas silently turned to the Exile and ignited her lightsaber. It was a scary moment, Visas looked like she was determined to kill the Exile. But she could not succeed. She was defeated, wounded and her lightsaber has been broken. The Sith lady collapsed unconscious. Exile spare the life of the assassin, and had her treated in the medical bay of the Ebon Hawk. This caused the displeasure of some crew members, like the Handmaiden, and Kreia. Atton helped the Exile to heal the injuries of the Sith lady, and while they were working on stabilizing Visas life functions, he told Exile some word about the race Miraluka, mentioning they were blind, but were able to see "on a higher level", also that their planet was destroyed by some mysterious and deadly way. Exile felt the Light in the lady, but also felt her pain, her sadness, so after her recovery he offered Visas to stay with him, work together, and change the past, building a better future. So Visas Marr abandoned Darth Nihilus and gave her life to the Jedi Exile (and her secret love, too).

Impressed by the Exile's compassion, goodness, belief, strength, and charisma Visas embraced the Light Side and told the Exile Jedi her entire back story, and taught him how to use Force Sight. However, she refused to guide the Exile to her master yet, as she felt her secret loved man was not ready to face such a threat at that time. However, she foresaw that they would eventually meet in the very near future.

From that moment, Visas aided the Exile Jedi during his search for the remaining Jedi Masters. She escorted Exile wherever he went, fought him side-by-side, and would have given her life for his. (BTW: that is Visas constant sentence: My life for yours!) In the meantime the other girls (Mira, and Brianna the Handmaiden) were racing for the attention of the Exile, only Visas Marr, the beautiful Miraluka girl seems to be low-key. That is why it was so surprising, you can live the Big L.O.V.E. with her in the end! You can understand that Visas has found the Exile by tuning her senses on the echoes what the Exile Jedi made in the Force. She followed the light, what was emitted by the Exile, which attracted the blind Sith lady. It is becoming clear that Visas is in you, I mean in your Exile. However Visas doesn't tell it to you until you are prepared enough to face her master. When you are going into your room, to meditate a bit before you infiltrate in the Ravager to face Nihilus, Visas enters and asks you to stay. However first she doesn't admit that she cares for you, finally she confesses that she not only fears for you against her powerful ex-master, but she is in love with you. She begs to stay, at least for her sake, don't let her alone, she won't survive if Darth Nihilus would defeated you. You can answer "I MUST go baby, I HAVE TO stop your "ex-boss". You can refer to the Jedi code, that forbids you to make connection with her. Or you can answer you MUST face Darth Nihilus, but after that you come back, and will stay with Visas, who'll wait for you. Or, for the third option, you can tell her you are in love with she, too. I tried it, too... :-) Then Visas will be very happy, and admits that she was loving you, she has been always loving you from the first time, when she felt your presence in the Force. From the time she was a Sith she followed you, she felt you, please keep in mind, she is a Miraluka, she saw EVERYTHING through the Force. However she felt you - she hasn't SAW you physically - so she asks you for a visual meditation, some kinda "virtual Miraluka sex", to connect the Force together like via the Internet, and tune into each other, connecting each other through the Force. She will "see" you this way. Oh well, if you do this you won't be a real Jedi, if you refuse, you won't be a real man, THAT IS a dilemma. :-) Who cares, go for it! You can save it previously, then check out that cool video cut scene! You are kneeling on the floor facing each other, a blue force aura surrounds both of you, which is pulsing, and you are together in the Force with closed eyes, pretty in a harmonic way. It is like in the Stallone movie "Demolition man". According that film in the future people don't make sex in the "old-fashioned salivated, humored, virulent way", but the couples put a headgear on their head, which stimulate their brains, which cause sexual gust for them. This kind of virtual sex could have given the idea for the developers for this Visas-Exile scene.

So finally Visas, along with the Exile Jedi and Mandalore confronted Darth Nihilus aboard his vessel, the Ravager. Nihilus is very good in saving Force Powers, but Visas will be able to support the boys from behind with some good Force Powers like Force Storm, and Drain Life till the guys are beating up Nihilus. Till the time the others ignited their lightsabers, Visas has said hello for her old master with a nice Death Field. Finally they defeated Nihilus. On they way to the bridge, or back out you may get by a chamber, called the "Cell Door". Visas will stop you, and will ask you to let her to meditate within her chambers, as THAT was her room in this vessel. (A puritan tiny room, that was Visas' "place", as the dog has a doghouse.) Let her go in, it gives her a bonus to her Maximum Force Points and can allow her to hit Light/Dark Side Mastery if she's close to it. Also, this Ravager level can give Visas a chance to clear her soul, to get rid of her Sith past. First, after defeating Darth Nihilus let her to "see" her old master through the Force. Also, let her to have Nihius' mask. Her meditating chamber can also help Visas to find her way back to the Light Side. We can realize a deeper emotional connection between the two youngster after that "togetherness" during this Ravager level. For example when they reach the bridge door, Visas warns her lover that Nihilus will be behind that door, suggests Exile to re-collect his strength, apply some shields, and prepare for the fight, etc. Exile is also having fears for his love, and offers her to stay outside, while he and Mandalore go in to fight with Nihilus. Visas of course refuses the idea, claiming that was never a question, she follows Exile wherever his path leads, so if the Exile enters, she escorts and helps him. So they went in together, but Darth Nihilus freezed all three of them with a Force Stasis. Exile says all of this action was HIS idea, he was the one, who wanted to come here, stating Visas was innocent, to protect his babe. But Visas also has fears for his lover, so she offers to return to Darth Nihilus, and serves him again, begging him not to harm the Exile, and not to do what Nihilus did to her when she was her slave! So, as these two examples depict after that meditating scene you can open the romantic dialogues, which can prove that Visas Marr, and the Exile Jedi are a pair from that point.

She followed the protagonist to the dead world of Malachor V in the Exile's quest to stop the "wound" in the Force that the Mass Shadow Generator had created, and, as well as the Exile's other companions, escaped the planet on the Ebon Hawk just before it collapsed.

Little is known of Visas Marr's fate. However her fate can be ended up in the hands of the Exile somehow. In a Light Side ending (loved by an Exile protagonist) they were vital in the restoration of the Jedi Order. Afterwards according to Darth Traya's final predictions, she left Exile behind and alone returned to her home world, Katarr to look upon its surface once more.

If the player played the game on the Dark Side, he could have Visas stab herself to make Darth Nihilus and her connection break. This would ultimately weaken Darth Nihilus. Still, I think that is a stupid thing, as Visas is much more important to be with you than to have her commit a suicide. Together you can easily defeat Darth Nihilus, no need to weaken him this way! Just look at this screenshot illustration, we have only suffered a very minor injuries, while Darth Nihilus almost lost all of his vital points. No need to sacrifice and loose Visas! Who wants to get rid of Visas this way? I never wanted to do that, however I have to give you full details on her, so I sadly asked her to kill herself for me, (remember, my life for yours...) just to be able to create this screenshot for you. If you order her to commit suicide, she would die on the Ravager after Nihilus dissolved into smoke. But I won't suggest to do this for even a DS player, Visas is far too valuable and interesting character, that isn't worth loosing her for some stupid DS points. She will help you in every situations, will have cool taunts, her voice is pleasant, (voiced by Kelly Hu), she fights for you, she presents her heart for you, accept these, and let the Last of the Miralukas live in the game, and in our memory!

About Visas Marr

Visas Marr wears a black gown, which she ties on her waist with a red belt. Her skirt is ripped on the left, so to Visas could run, so the tight gown won't obstruct Visas in her acrobatic moves. She has a wedding veil like headgear, which has a golden border. While the basic veil usually covers the bride's face, Visas's veil only covers her eyes. Her gown ends on her shoulders, leaving her arms uncovered, so we can see her red blouse, which is again golden bordered. Visas has a pair of long BLACK gloves. I made my custom figure based on the Light Sided Visas, whose headgear, blouse, belt, and even her underskirt are red, or bourdon - you can see that in the upper first reference photo, that was my "template". The Dark Sided Visas is often modified because of the Dark Side, so both of her face, and her clothes are darker, than the LS Visas. Therefore the DS Visas has a kind of purple like clothing, and as I played the game on the Dark Side last time, my screenshots represent those purple-like colors. Despite Visas was a Sith apprentice for a period of time, I still look upon her as Mara Jade, who was the Hand of the Emperor, served the Galactic Empire, done many bad things, but found her way back to the Light, and as a loving wife of Luke Skywalker she was protecting the innocents, and worked for the good goals afterwards. So you should look Visas Marr as a young girl, who was taken by the Sith, she was kept in a small cell, like a dog. I have the shrewd idea she was beaten by them, and was choked occasionally, and was only let off when they wanted her to kill somebody for them. She was kept dreaded, bullied. But fortunately she got a chance to secede from the Evil, and to return to the Light with the Exile, so in my imagination she is a Light Sided Jedi lady, who has lived the Hells with Darth Nihilus, but returned to the Light Side, and became the founder of the New Dantooine Jedi Order, and Exile's "Mara Jade", a loving wife, and a faithful Jedi partner.
